Clare Rossini has published three collections of poems—her first won the Akron Poetry Prize—and co-edited The Poetry of Capital (University of Wisconsin Press, 2021). Her poems and essays have appeared in journals and anthologies such as The Paris Review, The Kenyon Review, The Iowa Review, Ploughshares, Poetry, and The Best American Poetry series. She has taught at Carleton College, Trinity College, and the low-residency MFA Program at Vermont College. Rossini currently serves as Poet Laureate of West Hartford, CT.  She is using her position to heighten awareness of both the metaphorical connections between poets and birds in cultural traditions, and—more urgently--the world-wide, catastrophic depletion of bird populations.
